Together with your guide, historian, preservationist and documentarian, Kyle Supley, we will discuss the history of Chelsea’s High Line park including its originally intended use bringing products and raw goods from upstate New York, to its time as an abandoned rail track, and then on to the inception of one of New York’s finest parks
We’ll then walk north as we discuss the history of Chelsea, the waterfront (including the historic White Star Line pier and brand-new Little Island), the factories (Nabisco which is now Chelsea Market), and others that were once important staples along the route.
Your guide is trained in the same research tradition as the Bowery Boys NYC History Podcast — 19 years and 485+ episodes of New York City history, brought to your group. Every Bowery Boys Walks guide is a licensed NYC tour guide who is passionate about the stories that make New York's history special.
