Celebrate America 250! Revolution in Old New York: Soldiers, Spies and Statesmen

If you’re looking for a Revolution…

2026 is the 250th anniversary of the country! Dive into the history of this important time period on this fun walking tour in Lower Manhattan.

This tour takes us from Bowling Green and the 1765 Stamp Act Riots all the way to NYC’s City Hall Park. It will discuss and narrate the events that took place in New York leading up to the war. And it will introduce you to unforgettable characters in our city’s wartime saga, such as Isaac Sears, Cadwallader Colden, and, of course, everyone’s favorite musical hero, Alexander Hamilton.

This is a two-hour tour that covers spies, battles, and a walk through Manhattan’s financial power center — the FiDi (Financial District), now one of the city’s trendiest districts. While the tour focuses on Revolutionary and early American (as in pre-1800) historical events, there will be some fun architectural tidbits along the way.
