Cullen Brown is a licensed New York City guide who translates his passion for energy, engineering, and the environment into tours that bring you into contact with the infrastructure that makes our lives possible. His tours focus on NYC urban systems, including electricity, water, steam, transit, and the people who built and maintain them.
Born and raised in Buffalo, New York, Cullen was inspired by the natural and industrial history of Niagara Falls (with many fingerprints from Robert Moses), as well as by his historic-preservationist parents, to learn and share knowledge about our natural and built environment. His career niche is translating engineering concepts into everyday conversations.
Cullen provides his New York City guide services in his individual capacity. They are not related to or reflective of his employment with the New York Power Authority.
