Tim will lead you on a tour that takes you to various levels inside the theatre with visits to the lobby to see the original doors and green marble foyer walls still intact from 1903. You’ll have a chance to see the original Tiffany glass lighting that still adorns the inner lobby for modern audiences. And you’ll have a chance to sit in the auditorium with much of its original detail as Tim shares the fascinating history of the theatre and its stars.
Best of all, you’ll have a chance to be up close to the stage itself as Tim shares tales of historic productions and performers in the Gilded Age (including one of the most extraordinary female theatre managers ever) to its later use as a broadcast and television studio (The Tonight Show was originally filmed here).
This unique experience will include:
- A brief visit to Times Square as Tim recounts how Broadway came to be
- The inside, in-depth tour of the Hudson Theatre itself including lobbies, auditorium, and view of the stage (one audiences don’t see)
