Charlotte is a playwright, licensed sightseeing guide, and on-again, off-again academic. She earned her master’s from the University of Chicago and has been living full-time in New York City ever since. Her areas of expertise stretch from 19th century theater to comic book studies.
Charlotte has presented at several academic conferences, including the International Conference on John Milton and the Comic Studies Society at the University of Florida. An avid researcher and occasional archivist, Charlotte’s ever-evolving passion project is her play “Ad & Ned,” drawn from Edwin Booth’s private letters. As a member of GANYC, she brings this hands-on enthusiasm to her tours. Favorites include her explorations of Bohemian Greenwich Village and the history of comic books in New York.
